Application
Applications can only be submitted online from 17 May 2010 on this website. The contact details of the customer and the supplier, the category and the basic details of the project should be entered here.
Information on the basic idea, description of the technology and key visuals/photos are required for the application. The submitted outline must contain a full and comprehensible description of the project in the "Description" box (max. 100 words). The project should also be presented in a short video (max. 120 seconds and max. 5 MB). Information on the basic idea, a description of the place of installation, the displays and the submitted content loop are required for the Content category. A white paper on the project can also be appended in PDF format (max. 10 pages). All files should be bundled in a ZIP file.
Only forms properly completed online will be assessed, as otherwise it will not be possible for the jury to make an objective evaluation. No additional enclosures will be considered. This is to ensure that all entries are given equal consideration.
Publication
By submitting your project you declare your unrestricted consent (related to project description, images, videos but not for information marked as trade secrets) the Organiser to publicise the submission worldwide, to present it publicly and to exhibit it in any shape or form. Such publication may be made in any medium and be used for purposes of advertising and PR for the viscom Digital Signage Best Practice Awards, the viscom exhibition and all associated events without the submitter being specifically informed.
The Organiser is under no obligation to use or to publish the registered projects.
The winners of the viscom Digital Signage Best Practice Awards will be announced to the to the general public and the press at viscom frankfurt 2010. The submitting parties give their consent to such a presentation.
Evaluation
An independent jury of experts will examine and evaluate all projects submitted. The top rated proposals in each category will be nominated for the final round (maximum 3 per category).
Final round and presentation of awards
The final round and presentation of awards will be held during the viscom frankfurt 2010. A specially labelled competition exhibition space will be reserved for display of the ideas going forward to the final round. Every nominated project must be presented in this exhibition area for the entire duration of the exhibition.
Presentation in the competition exhibition area is free of charge for finalists who are already exhibitors at viscom frankfurt 2010. For all others, there is an exhibition fee of € 495,00 plus VAT.
1 display/monitor (maximum 40") can be set up on a stand to showcase the project. The display/monitor can either designed by the finalists themselves or by the Organiser (costs charged to the finalist). A regular stand can also be rented if the company concerned wishes to make an additional presentation.
The finalists whose projects are displayed exclusively in the competition area receive the status of ordinary exhibitor for the duration of viscom frankfurt 2010.
Return of documents
Any documentation submitted will only be returned on special request.

Entrants going through to the final round will be informed in writing. The jury session will be held on 04.11.10. The winners will be announced at the official awards ceremony on 05.11.10.
